Mind & Body Matters - Body
Personal Training
I believe the key to exercise is making it fun and finding something that you enjoy doing. It also needs to fit in with your life style. This is also a great opportunity for actually realising a goal such as training for a marathon. As a personal trainer I continue to alter the type of exercise, which then goes on to challenge your body, therefore never reaching the plateau where so many people, if left on their own, reach and then see no improvement.
There are several ways Personal Training can work. The most effective is of course one to one where I travel to you or you visit it me in my studio.

Online Personal Training
If time, distance or finances are a problem, they don’t have to be any longer. Mind and Body Matters now offer Personal Training and Coaching online.
The benefits of having an online Personal Trainer are numerous and you are still accountable to someone. If you lack motivation and self discipline then an online personal trainer could be perfect for you. An online Personal Trainer keeps the cost down and you can be more flexible with your time.
How does it work?
Have an initial face to face consultation with a fitness test and an exercise program designed around your lifestyle, followed by a 6 week exercise plan and optional food plan. Receive a twice weekly (or more) email from me requesting an email from you detailing the exercise you have taken and your food diary. I will then review and give guidance where necessary.
By choosing to take part in online Personal Training you are still accountable and held responsible, which will in turn give you the support to help you improve your lifestyle resulting in weight loss and improved fitness.
Why not give it a go and sign up today? Please email me or telephone to get started, or of course for more information.

"Physical fitness can neither be achieved by wishful thinking nor outright purchase" Joseph Pilates
By uniting his mind and his body, Joseph Pilates developed a range of exercises and set up the first official Pilates studio in the United States in 1926 and since then, Pilates has maintained a steady and devout following.
Pilates is a method of body conditioning helping to stretch and strengthen muscles. By using the mind and the body and working with the body from the inside out, Pilates helps to produce muscle tone, improve posture, increase flexibility and balance.

Equilibrium
To put the balance back in your life, why not indulge with a few friends? An hour of exercise followed by a stretch and tone session finishing with a back and shoulder massage. Go on to be inspired and have the afternoon with an image consultant where you will discuss colours, styles and makeup.
Great for a special occasion.

Groups/Classes
I run a series of 'open' classes which means that individuals can attend Pilates or circuit training (all going at your own pace) and this fits with many people's time commitments....however you can of course attend these with a group of friends....which can make it even more fun. The classes are friendly and progressive and by that I mean as you get fitter the classes will and do change to match your requirements....we won't ask you to do anything you don't want to and the wearing of lycra is not a necessity.....come as you are and try it, make new friends and make a choice to look after yourself.
I also run some small group classes from my exercise studio, such as Pilates, and relaxation techniques....so if you can't make the group sessions you can always get your own group together and make up your own......a bit like your own personal gym.
The process is simple....make a choice to feel better, fitter, then come along and have fun. Once you realise that feeling fitter actually makes you smile more you'll never be the same again....in the best possible way...!!
